La 11.ª edición del encuentro se realizará el miércoles 28 de octubre en el Centro de Convenciones de Buenos Aires. La propuesta analizará cómo el deporte y las nuevas tecnologías pueden impulsar experiencias turísticas innovadoras y fortalecer la identidad de los destinos.
El turismo está cambiando. Ya no se trata solamente de visitar un lugar, conocer sus atractivos o recorrer sus calles: cada vez más, las experiencias vinculadas con el deporte y la tecnología abren nuevas posibilidades para conectar con una ciudad. Sobre ese escenario se desarrollará InnovaTur BA 2026, el encuentro impulsado por el Ente de Turismo del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires que tendrá al turismo deportivo como protagonista.
La jornada se realizará el miércoles 28 de octubre, de 10 a 14, en el Centro de Convenciones de Buenos Aires, ubicado en la avenida Presidente Figueroa Alcorta 2099. Bajo el lema “El impacto del deporte, el gaming y los eSports en el turismo”, la iniciativa buscará explorar oportunidades de innovación y desarrollo para el sector.
Turismo deportivo: nuevas experiencias para los destinos
En su undécima edición, InnovaTur BA pondrá en discusión el potencial del deporte, los videojuegos y los deportes electrónicos para ampliar la oferta turística. El objetivo es analizar cómo estas actividades pueden generar experiencias diferentes, fortalecer los destinos y contribuir a poner en valor su identidad cultural.
La agenda incluirá experiencias concretas, casos inspiradores, tendencias y datos relacionados con el papel del deporte como motor de desarrollo turístico. También participarán referentes que promueven iniciativas orientadas a transformar la manera de vivir, gestionar y comunicar este segmento.
La propuesta apunta a un desafío relevante para el sector: encontrar nuevas formas de vincular la actividad turística con los intereses del público y las oportunidades que ofrecen la innovación y la creatividad.
Una agenda conectada con la tecnología y la creatividad
El encuentro formará parte de Tecweek, la Semana de Tecnologías Emergentes y Creativas, una iniciativa del Gobierno de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires que reúne propuestas y referentes de las industrias tecnológicas y creativas de Argentina y del mundo.
Esta articulación permitirá conectar al turismo con otros ámbitos de innovación, facilitar el intercambio de conocimientos y abrir espacios para pensar nuevas ideas sobre el futuro de la actividad.
Además, el evento contará con intérprete en Lengua de Señas Argentina (LSA) y aro magnético, dos recursos destinados a mejorar la accesibilidad para personas sordas e hipoacúsicas. La incorporación de estas herramientas contempla distintas necesidades de comunicación y acceso a la jornada.
InnovaTur BA: una trayectoria de innovación turística
InnovaTur BA se presenta como el primer programa de innovación turística promovido desde un gobierno local, con carácter pionero en Argentina y Latinoamérica.
Desde 2016, la iniciativa alcanzó a más de 15.000 actores de la cadena de valor turística mediante más de 40 acciones. Ese recorrido constituye el antecedente de una nueva edición que busca ampliar la conversación sobre las posibilidades del sector y su relación con las transformaciones tecnológicas.
Una oportunidad para pensar el turismo que viene
La edición 2026 propone mirar el turismo deportivo más allá de la competencia: como una oportunidad para desarrollar experiencias, generar vínculos entre industrias y explorar nuevas maneras de mostrar la identidad de los destinos.

Tourism is changing. It is no longer just about visiting a place, discovering its attractions, or walking its streets. Increasingly, experiences linked to sports and technology are opening up new ways to connect with a city. It is against this backdrop that InnovaTur BA 2026 will take place, an event organized by the Tourism Board of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires, with sports tourism taking center stage.
The event will be held on Wednesday, October 28, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Buenos Aires Convention Center, located at 2099 Presidente Figueroa Alcorta Avenue. Under the theme “The Impact of Sports, Gaming and eSports on Tourism,” the initiative aims to explore opportunities for innovation and growth in the sector.
Sports Tourism: New Experiences for Destinations
In its 11th edition, InnovaTur BA will examine the potential of sports, video games and esports to expand tourism offerings. The goal is to explore how these activities can create distinctive experiences, strengthen destinations and help showcase their cultural identity.

The initiative addresses a key challenge for the sector: finding new ways to connect tourism with public interests and the opportunities offered by innovation and creativity.
An Agenda at the Intersection of Technology and Creativity
The event will be part of Tecweek, the Week of Emerging and Creative Technologies, an initiative of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires that brings together projects and key figures from Argentina’s and the world’s technology and creative industries.
This collaboration will connect tourism with other areas of innovation, facilitate knowledge sharing and create opportunities to explore new ideas about the future of the industry.
The event will also provide an Argentine Sign Language (LSA) interpreter and an induction loop system, two resources designed to improve accessibility for deaf and hard-of-hearing people. These tools address different communication and access needs, helping participants engage with the event.
InnovaTur BA: A Track Record of Tourism Innovation
InnovaTur BA describes itself as the first tourism innovation program promoted by a local government, pioneering in both Argentina and Latin America.
Since 2016, the initiative has reached more than 15,000 stakeholders across the tourism value chain through more than 40 activities.
